Elder John Leland

John Leland maintained the responsibility of a minister at gospel for about 65 years. His name gets counted in one of the oldest religious leaders of Christianity. He used to travel on foot or horseback from Massachusetts to South Carolina. For this reason, he was known as “circuit preacher” and throughout his lifetime, he endorsed the principles of “religious freedom”. Elder Leland wrote his own epitaph: “Here lies the body of John Leland, who labored 67 years to promote piety and vindicate the civil and religious rights of all men.”

William Carey

William Carey was a cobbler and he himself struggled to make him literate. He took into his hands the task of converting Indian people into Christians. Although he faced a lot of difficulties in doing so, still he managed to do his job effortlessly. Carey faced a lot of difficulties in the beginning years of his mission and he suffered from many severe diseases such as dysentery, malaria, and cholera. During his initial time in Bengal, he encountered a number of difficulties and his one young child as well as two wives passed away due to habitation problems. To make it easier for people to know about Christianity, he translated Christianity books into 29 languages. Also, he was the co-founder of Serampore college and a member of Baptist Missionary Society.

Dr. Jerry Falwell

Dr. Falwell was not only good at fulfilling his responsibilities towards his family but also spread the message of Christianity to the world. He thought of training the people towards Christianity and hence he opened Liberty University for it. In this university, he trained 50,000 students and in today’s time, this number has increased to 70,000 in various offline as well as online sites. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
