Vinegar, or vinegar essence, is a popular household product used for descaling, for example. However, there are also things that you should not clean with it, like your computer when playing 20Bet.

WHY IT COULD BE BAD

Instead of storing a variety of cleaning products in the cupboard, you can clean many things in the household simply with home remedies such as vinegar or citric acid. This saves space and is much more natural to boot. But as great as home remedies are, unfortunately not everything can be cleaned with them. Vinegar, for example, can cause damage due to its high acid content and should therefore not come into contact with all materials in the household. This is especially true if the vinegar is not diluted with water. We tell you what you should not clean with vinegar or vinegar essence in any case. WHAT NOT TO CLEAN

1. the cat toilet

Vinegar is mainly known for its somewhat acrid odor, which fortunately dissipates after some time. This is also the reason why you should not use the home remedy for cleaning the cat litter box. The fur noses have a very fine sense of smell – and can the scent of vinegar so not at all. If you clean your cat’s litter box with vinegar, it may happen that your cat spurns its quiet place in the future – even if you wipe it out thoroughly with water afterwards. Instead, the whole apartment then becomes a litter box.

2. washing machine

Putting vinegar in your washing machine to get it clean and decalcified should really only be an emergency solution if you have nothing else in the house. This is especially true of vinegar in its undiluted form. Vinegar essence contains up to 25 percent acid, which can damage the washing machine and especially the hoses in the long run. Vinegar detergent is also not suitable as a substitute for fabric softener. It will make clothes made of synthetic fibers brittle and destroy them over time.

3. objects with copper content

If you have faucets made of copper or other objects containing the soft metal in your household, it is better not to let them come into contact with vinegar. This is because it can cause a chemical reaction that creates toxic verdigris. And that’s really not something you want to find in your bathroom. There are special cleaning agents for copper, but if you prefer to rely on home remedies, you can alternatively reach for citric acid.

4. coated surfaces

There are some surfaces that you should not clean with vinegar. These include delicate materials like marble, and surfaces that are coated. The coating is usually used to protect the surfaces or objects from external influences such as water or moisture in general. This protection is removed by cleaning with vinegar and the surfaces quickly no longer look nice. The culprit in this case is again the acid contained in the vinegar essence.
