Indiana’s gaming commission has legalized the sports betting in the state and it has now become the 13th US state that is offering the sports betting to the gamblers. On the opening ceremony, Ameristar casino remodeled itself to put five sports betting windows and many freestanding wagering kiosks alongside its stadium sports bar and burger restaurant. Everybody was there, expecting that the casino will pass by the sportsbook as they will enter and leave. Almost fifty people were seen in a line on Sunday opening for sports betting at Ameristar.
The grand opening is set for 4 pm on Thursday, where former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka and Devin Hester, who hold the NFL record, will be present. Another similar grand opening will execute at 11 am on Wednesday at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond and Blue Chip Casino will celebrate the opening at 10 am on Thursday. The Majestic Star casinos in Gary are not going to open a retail sportsbook. The casinos are very happy in Indiana and they are organizing ceremony according to their schedule. Matt Schuffert is the general manager of Ameristar casino. He said that he is very happy and excited. He believes that it is a new form of gaming and they are lucky to be one of the first in Chicagoland to be able to offer sports betting.

Patrons place their wagers either with a person at a window or by using a nearby electronic kiosk. In return, they get a ticket as proof. If the bet is won, it is turned in to receive a payout. According to Indiana state regulations, casinos are required to display the sporting events for wagering, along with the corresponding odds. The regulation has allowed patrons to place a bet by using cash, credit and debit card. The verified patron accounts are required for credit, debit and mobile wagers.
