Though not many people notice the reception desk much, when they enter the premises. But if you place a bad looking desk instead of a good one, they will actually notice and might return from there itself. Good desks are not much noticed by many people. But some still do notice.
So whether you have a large public dealing or not, it is better to go with a good reception desk, than compromising on this very factor. Sometimes, being impressed at the first instant itself by the clients, might help you in the long run.
